Sainam: Chef Angus An's Tribute to Isaan Cuisine Opens in the West End

IT’s FINALLY TIME! Sainam, from award-winning chef Angus An, opens June 13, 2025! This much anticipated restaurant which has found its home in the West End is the latest offering from VanMag’s 2025 Chef of the Year, who is renowned for establishments like Maenam and Fat Mao. With Sainam, guests can look forward to a vibrant eatery celebrating the bold flavors of Thailand's Isaan region. The menu has been crafted in collaboration with head chef Poom Sikarin Sirisupanon, a native of Khon Kaen in Isaan. Signature dishes include laab chicken with toasted rice powder, hot-and-sour tom saep baby pork ribs, and pad mee Korat with crispy pork jowl.

The 1,200-square-foot, 40-seat restaurant features a bright, casual atmosphere, complemented by a unique som tum bar offering seven variations of green papaya salad. While awaiting its liquor license, Sainam serves inventive non-alcoholic beverages crafted by Maenam's award-winning bartender, Tony Limchai. Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m (and to 11:00 p.m. on Friday + Saturday). Walk-ins are welcome, no reservations are required!
