Roman-Style Pizzas and Italian Sandwiches Land on Main Street

Mortadella

Neighborhood: Main Street / Chinatown
Address: 915 Main St, Vancouver, BC

The exciting new Roman-inspired pizza and sandwiches spot, Mortadella, has just opened on Main Street! Mortadella is from brothers Michael and Stephen Wiese, the team previously behind much-loved neighbourhood spots La Brasserie and Pizza Fabrika. Taking over the former Pizzeria Farina space, they’ve built a tight menu around high-quality Italian cold cuts, simple, rustic flavours, and dough that leans more towards Roman pizza al taglio than New York slice.

The room is compact but thoughtfully branded, with clean signage and modern, inviting finishes by designer Alexandra Regehr that signal a quick-service format without losing the feeling of a “proper” Italian sandwich bar. Guests order at the counter, grab a hefty sandwich or slice to go, or tuck into a stool for a glass of something and a snack before heading further up Main.

Hours: Tue–Sun, 11 am–9 pm (closed Mondays)
