Onda Opens in Olympic Village with Roman-Style Pizza, Gelato, and All-Day Italian Vibes

ONDA

Neighborhood: Olympic Village
Address: 1610 Salt Street, Vancouver

Exactly five years after launching their beloved Kitsilano pasta bar the endearing (and publicity-friendly) Casereccio team, are back with a bold new chapter. Their new concept, Onda, opens Friday, August 29 in Olympic Village. Inspired by the easy rhythms of la dolce vita, Onda is a vibrant, all-day Italian spot serving crispy, airy Roman-style pizza (Pinsa Romana), housemade gelato, pastries, and espresso from morning to night.

The menu flows like the day: start with a cappuccino and pastry, swing by for a slice or sandwich at lunch, then stay for happy hour cocktails and dinner service in a space buzzing with warmth and Italian charm. At the heart of Onda’s menu is Pinsa Romana, a lighter, rectangle-shaped pizza with a bubbly, crisp crust made for sharing…or keeping all to yourself.

Located at 1610 Salt Street, and taking over the space that until just recently used to be Gusto in Olympic Village, Onda is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., welcoming early risers, neighbourhood wanderers, and dinner crowd alike. Whether you’re dropping in for gelato or lingering over an aperitivo, Onda invites you to ride the wave of Italian food culture in Vancouver, one slice, scoop, and sip at a time. We’re excited to come by soon and continue watching their latest antics on Instagram.
