Mates on Crates: feat. Josh Ochotorena
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
Today, we’re excited to announce our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Josh Ochotorena, co-operator and chef of Breeze Bar in Gastown. This new industry hangout brings an exciting twist to Gastown’s evening scene with tapas-style plates, a $20-or-under menu, and late-night disco vibes. With co-owner Ryan Tanner, Josh has created a space designed for friends to unwind, interact, and enjoy standout dishes and drinks—all without breaking the bank. Breeze Bar officially opens on November 13th, with a soft launch for industry friends on November 6th. It was a pleasure to chat with Josh and hear about his journey and favourite spots - check out the episode below.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode only a handful of those favourites make it into the final 60 second cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
