Mates on Crates Feat. Joe Casson
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Joe Casson, Head Bartender, Published on Main, Vancouver, BC. Since opening in 2019, Published on Main has become one of Vancouver’s most celebrated restaurants, earning a Michelin star, a leading place on Canada’s 100 Best, and a No. 17 ranking on North America’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Guests can expect a room that feels polished but personal, with world-class food and drink served through the lens of Mount Pleasant hospitality. Joe leads a beverage program built around the kitchen’s pantry, preserved ingredients, foraged flavours, zero-proof options, and playful pairings that make the bar feel every bit as essential as the dining room. It was a pleasure to sit down with Joe to chat Published’s incredible year, the energy of Main Street’s “Michelin Mile,” the restaurant’s approachability, the bar program, and all of Joe’s favourite spots.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
