Mates on Crates Feat. Kyle McIntosh
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Kyle McIntosh, Head Chef at Nui in Vancouver, BC. Nui is a modern Korean restaurant on Main Street, bringing comforting Korean flavours together with thoughtful technique, warm hospitality, and a quietly exciting bar program. Kyle brings a curious, precise, and deeply collaborative approach to the kitchen, with a love for Korean ingredients, local suppliers, and the small details that make every dish feel alive. It was a pleasure to sit down with Kyle to chat kimchi, Korean food culture, the Main Street and Fraser restaurant community, the dishes he loves making most, and all of Kyle’s favourite spots.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
