Mates on Crates Feat. Barbora Samieian

G’day,

Those in the know, know where to go.

We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Barbora Samieian, Co-Founder at Field & Social in Vancouver, BC. Field & Social has spent the last 10 years building a loyal following around fresh, filling, feel-good salads, opening its first location on Dunsmuir before growing to four locations across Vancouver, with a fifth on the way in South Flats. Barbora helped bring the idea to life after living in New York, where great salad options were everywhere, and seeing an opportunity to create something focused, fresh, and genuinely satisfying in one of Canada’s healthiest cities. It was a pleasure to sit down with Barbora to chat entrepreneurship, motherhood, team building, design, Field & Social’s next chapter, and all of Barbora’s favourite spots.

Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.

Barbora’s favourites at Field & Social:

  • Bowl: The Med Bowl or Beets Bowl

  • Crowd Favourite: Avo Crunch or Rustic Orzo

  • Snack: Egg bites, lemon protein bites, or the gluten-free peanut butter and chocolate cookie

  • Pairing: Sparkling water, with Barbet coming soon to the South Flats location
