Mates on Crates Feat. Erin Heather
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Erin Heather, Owner at The Irish Heather Shebeen, Chinatown, Vancouver. A Vancouver institution now 28 years in, The Irish Heather is beloved for its warm pub soul, standout comfort food, and a deep whisky culture, with a tucked-away downstairs space, the Scéal Eile, available for private parties and special nights. Erin is a hospitality lifer and co-owner who has helped open more than 20 restaurants across the city, is famously sharp at remembering names and orders, and brings a competitive Irish-dancer’s energy to every room, even if the dancing stays seated now. It was a pleasure to sit down with Erin to chat the story of The Irish Heather, the Scéal Eile, Sunday roasts and Monday toasties, and all of Erin’s favourite spots.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
