Taco Loma Brings Mexico City Street Flavours to Mount Pleasant

TACO LOMA

Neighborhood: Mount Pleasant
Address: 2652 Main Street, Vancouver, BC

It’s taco time on Main Street! The latest addition to one of Vancouver’s liveliest food neighborhoods, Taco Loma, officially held its grand opening on June 26, 2025 and they celebrated with $3 tacos and $5 slushy margaritas all day. Nestled beside the popular bar El Gato Gab Gab, at 11th Ave, this compact burrito bar offers street-style Mexican eats delivered with more than a little cheek. In its infancy Taco Loma has already been self-proclaimed “Best New Restaurant With Food That Feels Like a Hug” and home of the “Most Emotionally Intelligent Burrito.”

The concise but impactful menu sticks to essentials done exceptionally well: brisket and pork belly burritos wrapped in 13-inch tortillas, taco pairs, house-made chips, salsas, and slushy margaritas so bold “they legally classify as weather.”

Taco Loma confidently expects a bustling takeout and delivery program but for those who pitch up a spot at the restaurant they’ll be treated to an authentic “hole in the wall” vibe featuring indoor barstools plus a sunny parklet for on-site drinks and dining.

Open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am until 9pm (10pm Fridays/Saturdays), Taco Loma aims to be Mount Pleasant’s easiest, most delicious answer to a lunch run, casual dinner, or spontaneous margarita fix.
