Vancouver, sharpen your forks…it’s time to decide once and for all: what’s the city’s favourite dish

This October, Chef’s Favourite launched the Vancouver’s Favourite Food Dish of 2025 Bracket: a March Madness–style tournament where 64 of Vancouver’s most iconic dishes go head-to-head, with winners chosen by you, the people who eat, breathe, and live this city’s food scene. From fine dining showstoppers to late-night hidden gems, every round sparks debate, ignite cravings, and celebrate the restaurants that make Vancouver one of the world’s most exciting culinary cities.

How It Works

Launch Date: The competition kicked off on Monday, October 20, 2025.
Platform: Voting happens daily on our Instagram Stories (@chefs.favourite).
Schedule:

Weeks 1 & 2: Round of 64 → 32 matchups, 4 per day, Monday to Thursday. COMPLETE
Weeks 3 & 4: Round of 32 → 16 matchups, 2 per day, Monday to Thursday. COMPLETE
Week 5: Sweet 16 → 8 matchups, 2 per day, Monday to Thursday. COMPLETE
Week 6: Elite 8 → 4 matchups, 1 per day, Monday to Thursday. COMPLETE
Week 7: Final Four & Championship!!

Voting: Each morning, a new matchup will be posted as a story poll. You’ll have 24 hours to vote. The following morning, we’ll announce the winner and post the next matchup. The bracket continues until we crown a champion.

The bracket showcases a diverse lineup of Vancouver favourites. These were chosen by our Mates on Crates guests, our experts, and most importantly, YOU! Expect a mix of heavy hitters, cult classics, and local discoveries. Every round stings when you have to choose.
