Mates on Crates Feat. Sarah Campbell

G’day,

Those in the know, know where to go.

We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Sarah Campbell, General Manager at Bodega Ridge, Galiano Island. Bodega Ridge is a year-round Gulf Island escape known for its cabins, weddings, retreats, and slow-you-right-down sense of place. With Lola, The Pink Geranium, ridge and cove stays, alpacas, and sweeping Salish Sea surroundings, it offers guests the kind of getaway that feels a world away without being far away at all. Originally from Edinburgh, Sarah moved to Canada for a ski season in Whistler and built her hospitality career from the ground up, from bussing at the Garibaldi Lift Company to years at The Raven Room and Bar Bravo before stepping into her leadership role at Bodega Ridge. Now based on Galiano Island, she brings strong bar and restaurant experience, calm command across multiple moving parts, and a real feel for how to create warm, memorable guest experiences. It was a pleasure to sit down with Sarah to chat about moving from Whistler and Vancouver to Galiano Island, life as general manager at Bodega Ridge, the rhythm of island hospitality, and all of Sarah’s favourite spots.

Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
