Mates on Crates Feat. Morgain Cuddy
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Morgain Cuddy, Co-Owner and Master Sausage Maker at Southend Sausage on Salt Spring Island. Southend Sausage is a beloved local butcher shop, deli, micro-bakery and barbecue stop known for artisan sausages, charcuterie, local meats and a summertime Texas-style barbecue program. Morgain brings a lifelong love of sausage making, smoking, curing and grilling to the shop, with a knack for turning traditional techniques into something deeply Salt Spring. It was a pleasure to sit down with Morgain to chat kabanosy, fresh Polish sausage, local lamb, barbecue Sundays, Salt Spring life and all of Morgain’s favourite spots.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
