Mates on Crates Feat. Moirae Choquette
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Moirae Choquette, founder of Tomato Wheels Lambrusco. Launched in 2022, Tomato Wheels Lambrusco has quickly helped introduce a more traditional, non-sweet style of Lambrusco to Canadian drinkers, with bottles sourced from Emilia-Romagna and now poured in restaurants and stocked in private liquor stores across multiple provinces. Guests can expect a chilled, food-friendly sparkling red with bright fruit, fine bubbles, and the kind of versatility that makes it just as at home beside pizza and pasta as it is at a holiday table. Moirae is an Indigenous entrepreneur and marketing and communications professional with more than 15 years of experience, whose superpower is authenticity, storytelling, and turning great ideas into memorable brands. It was a pleasure to sit down with Moirae to chat Lambrusco, launching a wine brand in Canada, food pairings, entrepreneurship, Vancouver life, and all of Moirae’s favourite spots.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
