One of the top Bartenders in the WORLD, Keegan is the 2024 winner of Diageo World Class. Halifax-born and Moncton-raised, Keegan is a hospitality pro whose career has taken him through Newfoundland, music venues, restaurant openings, cocktail programs, and global competition stages, all while keeping his approach rooted in casual, welcoming Atlantic Canadian hospitality. At Highwayman you can expect cocktail forward energy married with a Spanish-inspired restaurant menu. Located along Barrington Street, Highwayman is known for Nova Scotia ingredients, warm East Coast hospitality, and a tight, intimate room that has become one of Halifax’s most recommended dining destinations. It was a pleasure to sit down with Keegan to chat Halifax, Newfoundland, East Coast hospitality, Highwayman’s first ten years, and all of Keegan’s favourite spots.
