Mates on Crates Feat. Wade hurley
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Wade Hurley, Head Brewer at Capital Brewing, Fishwick, Canberra. A hometown favourite in Canberra’s booming craft beer scene, Capital is known for approachable, flavour-forward beers and a taproom built for long afternoons with mates, kids, and burgers. Wade is a San Diego native who was headhunted by Capital’s founders in the early days and has now been shaping the brewery’s beers and culture for about a decade, bringing West Coast experience and a “beer for everyone” philosophy to every style they pour. It was a pleasure to sit down with Wade to chat craft beer beginnings, how long beer takes from brew to glass, the Capital taproom experience, and what’s next for the crew, plus all of Wade’s favourite spots.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
