Mates on Crates Feat. Maria Ponce
G’day,
Those in the know, know where to go.
We’re excited to have just launched our latest episode of Mates on Crates, featuring Maria Ponce, Executive Chef at La Taqueria and Chupito in Vancouver, BC. La Taqueria has been serving Vancouver for nearly 16 years and has grown into four establishments across the city. Guests can expect high quality Mexican food rooted in authentic techniques, alongside exciting new concepts that showcase seasonal local ingredients through a Mexican lens. Maria Ponce has been with the group for nearly five years after building her career in Northern Mexico, the United States, and Baja California. Her experience in Baja's celebrated farm-to-table dining scene continues to influence her cooking, combining regional Mexican traditions with British Columbia's incredible local ingredients.
Each time we do a Mates on Crates interview, our guests share up to twenty of their favourites with us. For each episode, only a handful of those favourites make it into the final two minute cut. In order to highlight all of our guest’s favourites, we are happy to share the full list of favourites right here.
